OUR HISTORY
Based in Southport, Brighouses is a friendly, progressive and broad-based Law Firm founded by Sir Samuel Brighouse in the 1870s. The business has grown significantly over recent years, merging with Espley and Co of Formby and Bellis, Kennan, Gribble and Co of Southport, and is one of the general legal practices in Southport and the surrounding area.

We are a general practice acting for individuals, families and businesses in Merseyside, Lancashire and beyond. Our experienced practitioners provide expert legal advice in a wide range of areas including; Property and Conveyancing, Wills, Probate, Trusts and Tax, Family Law, Criminal Law and Civil Litigation.

Located on Lord Street in the centre of Southport we have strong links with other businesses in the surrounding area and close connections with the local community and charities. A Partner of the Firm was a Director of Southport Flower Show for 32 years. The Firm boasts two former Presidents, a Deputy Lieutenant and a Trustee of Southport Pier among its staff.
